what a girl won’t do…

Have you ever had one of those moments where you just had to have something? In my case that something is almost always cherry coke… but not yesterday when for no reason at all I suddenly savagely needed chocolate and coconut.

It should have been an easy matter to run to the store for a Mounds bar (ooh, or an Almond Joy…) except that K somehow managed to catch some bug (sheesh kids get a lot of bugs) and had a fever… Nope, not doing it, not me. I am not that parent that takes her kid to the store with a fever to spread those germs around and infect the rest of the population… not happening.

So instead I check the cabinet…. shredded coconut. I look in the fridge… chocolate syrup.

Yes. I ate a bowl of shredded coconut covered in chocolate syrup.

That was me. You have a problem with that?

****

And while I have you on the subject of chocolate and what lengths I have gone to get some let me point you over to Problem Girl where Jen is holding her first ever blog contest. It’s super simple. She wants to know who you are proud of… and if you win the prize is bountiful beautiful chocolate in M&M form… I only ask if you win you share them with me…. mmmmm M&Ms.

You’re not pregnant are you? (asks the person who once craved a peanut butter cup so much that she mixed a spoonful a peanut butter in with a bunch of Quik powder)Thanks for mentioning my contest!

haha. No Jen I’m not, and I have eaten a spoonful of peanut butter with Quick powder before too. it was probably about 10 years ago.

Have I mentioned that you remind me of what of my favorite vixen mamas Siouxsie Sioux? In the best, most sexy possible manner? Which has like, NOTHING to do with your post, but I had to tell you.

hmmm, sounds good. I once had a craving, for something, couldn’t figure out what it was, and only satisfied it when I dipped Pirates Booty in maple syrup. yum.

Shredded coconut and chocolate syrup sound just fine to me. Any port in a storm. I have been known to put a spoon in a jar of peanut butter and then roll it in chocolate chips and eat it straight off the spoon. Mmmmm…

my kids got me hooked on this one–peanut butter and nutella. (nutella, for the uninitiated, is a hazelnut spread that tastes like chocolate.) it’s basically a reese’s peanut butter cup in a spoon.
