I can’t fight this feeling…

I bet you thought I was going to make you watch a video of that REO Speedwagon song… you know the one.  You’ve likely got it stuck in your head just from reading the title of this post… I know I do.

But I think just suggesting it is probably enough cruelty for one post so I’ll move on to what this post is really about: Me.

That’s right it’s me, it’s that time of year again.  Something happens to me every fall… I edge into domestic mode and I want to cook everything in site.  Keep your pets and children away from me, they may not be safe if I find a good recipe for them.

But it’s like cooking isn’t enough.  I feel compelled to do things like organize my sock drawer… or oh, I don’t know… Organize all my purses by hanging them on my closet wall.

So tonight for dinner my family will be enjoying a lovely white bean and chicken chili that I am lovingly preparing for them.  And by preparing, I mean for real.  As I type this the navy beans are soaking and the chicken is marinating.  It’s going to be amazing.

At least I hope it is… I’ve never made white chili in my life.  Come to think of it I’ve never even tasted white chili before.

Oh god… deep breath…  someone please tell me this is a good idea because I really can’t stop myself from making it… Like I said before I can’t fight this feeling anymore…

Yes, I did just bring it back around to the song.

Why?  Because merely suggesting the song is apparently not enough cruelty from me for one post.  I do feel compelled to make you listen to it.  I even found a video version with the lyrics on the screen so you can sing along (and avoid the very bad hair and creepy eyebrows)  So you know, I’m not all evil).

White bean chicken chili is pretty awesome.
And nurturing and nesting in the fall is awesomeness.
And if you ever wanted to adopt me, that’d be great.

Cami, Cami, Cami. First off, white bean chicken chili sounds awesome. I make a pretty mean chili myself. Just remember, copious amounts of chili powder is not always the answer. A good blend of seasonings is far better than searing your palate on the spice.

Other than that, its good to see a familiar face around the web every now and then.

Glad to see things are going well.
