today…

I have no witty comeback for anything you say today.

no snark.

no snarl.

Today my little one, my darling K, will graduate from Kindergarten.

I remember the day we brought her home, how she was so tiny she fit into the curve of my arm. How I lifted her effortlessly and held her to me. I remember looking at her tiny features and thinking that someday soon, she would be growing up.

That she would learn to roll over.

Sit up.

Walk on her own.

Speak for herself.

She’s done all that and so much more. I don’t know how we could be more proud of the beautiful person she’s become at the age of 6.

but even now… she’s our baby.

Congratulations, K!Tell me, why do little kids always get the prettiest eyes and the longest eyelashes? You don’t need eyelashes like that when you are a child, you need them later, when you’re all grown up. Tell K I said she is very pretty!

Oh, isn’t she BEAUTIFUL? What a strong, straightforward expression she has.(And yeah. Mine graduated from the eighth grade yesterday. I wept. Like a wimp.)

Oh wow Cami…she’s just startlingly pretty, isn’t she? And not the same-old-same-old sort of pretty…there’s a uniqueness to her. She fairly well sparkles, she does. Congrats to you…and happy birthday to her.
