I know that it seems like we’ve started our holidays around here…
What with the tree, the lights, me wearing that silly santa hat at the top of my blog, Mr. Kaos on vacation, the tiki drink I had at 3 in the afternoon yesterday….
But in reality the Holidays don’t start for us until one very important thing happens.
Can any of you guess what that is?
It starts with a trip to the airport to pick up my parents.
Every year.
It ends in a lot of crazy ass holiday fun.
Today. TODAY my mom and dad get here.
(okay so It’s really Saturday as I write this but by the time I post it it will be just a few hours until they arrive. HOURS PEOPLE)
I don’t know about you guys but I am very lucky to enjoy a good relationship with my parents.
Maybe good doesn’t convey this well enough.
I think I have a great relationship with my parents. When I was a kid and I needed them to parent me they did, but I have since grown into a full fledged adult who can care for myself (and my family) and our relationship has morphed into something more like a friendship.
With a lot of caring.
Oh and booze.
So to say that we are all excited about their impending arrival may be an understatement.
Plus there’s all that free babysitting!
Right? Right?
Oh come on please!!! I need to get out of here…
Let the Kaos Family Christmas commence.
WOO WOO WOO WOOO WOO HOOO!! Yeah, now it’s officially the holidays.Have a blast and hug the fam for me! Love you all!
Parents whose company you enjoy AND babysit? sounds like a winning combination to me!CheersThis is my calling card or link“Whittereronautism”until blogger comments get themselves sorted out.
i want my life to be more like yours…it looks like you are going to have a kick-a** time. i’m so jealous. for my part? i’m going to try to steer us through the holidays with a minimum of shouting. oh, and i need to come out the other side with a potty-trained boy. yeah, nothing spells success like the dictation of toiletry habits.
Holly: Oh potty training during the holidays. JOY. Maddy: The one big snare is that they live nearly 1700 miles away.BW: you got it. hugs for all. And we’re on our way to see RON!
have fun, don’t forget the martini glasses!
Oh have a fab time. I see my mum and dad nearly every day as my mum takes E to school and my dad often pops in for lunch on the days me and my mum look after my nieces. I have a really close family too and I love Christmas time.Hope you have an amazing time with them all and manage to get out with the lovely Mr Kaos too.
Oh yay for good family fun at Christmas!
