I wrote this long ass post.
well I wrote half of it.
It was all about the early wake up on Easter and stuff…
It was really long.
and also really boring. and whiny. and not really funny.
so instead I will tell you that after she was done eating breakfast (I am that mean mom that makes the kid eat BEFORE the fun… because otherwise she won’t eat a thing) locating all her treasures… and opening each egg and revealing the contents of it with delight… and eating a bag of Jelly Belly beans… she wanted to put on her new pretend pop star headset and listen to the Radio Disney hits CD that Mr. Kaos and I got her for her birthday (which was only 3 days ago…)
Let me make something clear; She REALLY wanted that CD and rather than buy her another toy or 10 that she doesn’t need and I don’t want her to have we decided to let her have it. We leave the excessive toy buying to other people.
So like I said we got her the CD and she was thrilled but we haven’t had a chance to listen to it… until this morning…
That’s where the hell part comes in.
Have we covered here on my blog that I love music? I love it with a fierce and fiery passion. I adore music. I’ve spent most of my life LOVING music and… well kind of disliking musicians. One thing is pretty consistent with me though… aside from some crazy 80’s stuff and some gothy club music I danced to in my teens I hate music that has been processed and over produced… music that has had the spirit and the soul ripped from it.
This CD pretty much embodies what I can’t stand about the recording industry these days.
I think I may be bleeding from my ears.
please make it stop…

ha ha. That’s what you get for buying that cd… I do hope it’s over soon..
hopefully she’ll be bored of it soon OR it can accidentally on purpose get lost…
Just don’t buy her that ‘Kids Bop’ crap. Mr. Kaos’ head may explode…Oh, and though ‘excessive’, my toys didn’t make noise, at least!
This is how I feel about the KidzBop CDs that my children have memorized.
I figure, it’s been a good Easter if I have successfully avoided the Easter Bunny. So far, so good.I used to work in a toy store that sells at the lovely music. There is worse, let me tell you!
thankfully the pipettes is as bad as it’s gotten so far.So far. shudder….
ooh i have held out on that one. i caved on the strawberry shortcake cd and lived to regret it. i am going to miss those brain cells. and a little piece of my soul that i will never get back. damnit. maybe if i say damnit another 20 times i’ll get a piece of my soul back. i’m away to try that. or WAIT – MAYBE IF I DESTROY THE CD – THE SOURCE OF THE SOUL DESTRUCTION. YES!!! MU HU HU HA HA HA HA HA. okay. i’m away to ruin a cd now. and get my sould back
Heh. Yeah, well, you could be watching Enchanted again. And again. And again. And um, again… I’ve found that it’s much easier to confine the music to a cd player in the bedroom. TV & DVD player, not so much…
Oy! That sounds painful. Hope the ear-bleed ends soon.
Another blogger I read claimed that radio disney was the best thing she could find to listen to on the radio in L.A. how sick is that? and what does it say about the rest of the music?
oooo, so sorry for your loss.-Stu
I know how you feel. I’m always relieved when my two year old responds positively to some of our grownup music, instead of with “don’t like that song Daddy!” Unfortunately, then THOSE albums end up getting played over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over….yeah.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHKill it!!!I can’t believe you bought it.Hahahahahaha
oh cami… when i saw “disney” and “cd” in the same sentence i knew immediately what you’re being subjected to!!!i’m so so sorry…
