CB is having blood pressure issues right now as well and the beta blocker he is on has apparently stopped working. Any advice besides the sodium thing?
I’m coming to meet you today! Maybe no cannibalistic tendencies, please?BTW, Mason is doing part of the Jim Gaffigan “Bacon” bit for his children’s theater audition this weekend…
I’m going to say something unhelpful and then be on my way: I read, when I read Ms. Healthy Eater stuff, that salt is addictive. Very difficult to give up.I hope the cravings go away very soon and the diet does the trick for your BP.
Lisa: actually that WAS helpful. I hate feeling like I’m dependent on something.. you may have given me the will to fight the salty devil.Stephanie: I promise not to eat you. Or your family. That’s the best I can do.Holmes: Why indeed. Bacon is the reason I am not a vegetarian.deb: Popcorn I think I can live without but when I grill I like my salt… oh salty grilled goodness…lilacspecs: If his beta blocker isn’t working he should talk to his doctor. The sodium thing is one of the key things you have to do (other than medication) to keep your bp under control.
You can do it babe. I stopped having sugar in tea this year. I really liked it so it was hard, but now I don’t even like it at all. Could you try some other herbs or something on your bacon to give it something extra??
this is not a good time to mention that I’ve not eaten bacon in sometime is it? I would make a bad bad snack though. Way to fatty :)Jo’s suggestion is good – use loads of herbs as seasoning.

I love real salt on popcorn–making a little burn feeling–and rock salt on grilled meat. And yeah, I don’t eat it much either. Poor us.
Best of luck on the diet. Why must bacon taste so damn gooooood.
